MK2 (MAP kinase-activated protein kinase 2, MAPKAP-K2) is a stress-activated serine/threonine-protein kinase involved in cytokine production, endocytosis, reorganization of the cytoskeleton, cell migration, cell cycle control, chromatin remodeling, DNA damage response, and transcriptional regulation.
"I was using the MK2 Trap beads to enrich significant amounts of endogenous MK2 to identify isoforms of the kinase. The Trap beads performed so well and specific that I was able to detect them even by Coomassie staining from a low amount of input. The usage was easy and fast forward. The MK2 Trap beads allowed me to study these isoforms in great detail and kick-started the project. "
